Development Agency Services:
TGW places its organizational wherewithal in the service of local development agencies to manage urgent circumstances, to deliver technical assistance and to guide organizational evolution. Typically, we assist local development agencies through three means: Serving as interim Agency executives, coordinating the day to day functions of the agency, especially during times of abrupt leadership transition; Providing technical assistance in the form of grant administration and reporting; and, Guiding board development -- particularly with regard to the legal and operational roles of the agency -- and directing organizational transition through executive recruitment.
Some Illustrative Engagements and Relevent Experience...
TGW Consulting Group, through the efforts of John M. Duchessi, Jr. directed the operations of the Hudson Development Corporation (HDC) and the Hudson Community Development and Planning Agency (HCDPA) over a one-year period. Provided comprehensive agency administrative services, successfully organized agency finances, clarified respective agency responsibilities, administered new grants, favorably resolved nettlesome issues with outstanding grants and restored strong relationships with funding agencies.
TGW Consulting Group worked intensely with the boards of HDC and HCDPA to Organize and implement legal and operational roles of the agencies; Establish a coherent process for constructive ideation, informed project selection and effective project development -- allowing for the roles and the impacts of the development agencies to be maximized; and, Formulate plans/actions for organizational sustainability. Finally, TGW developed job specifications, undertook recruitment and oversaw the hiring process for permanent Executive Director.
